oatmeal baths will help
you should try homeopathy. Has the best results in skin conditions
Elidel worked really well for my son and my daughter. It does take a week or two to see real results though. Also, be careful about perfumed soap, detergent, febreze sprays, etc., as the scents seem to aggravate eczema. (at least they seemed to with my kids)
My daughter has eczema. She used elidel, but it didn’t help. I had to get her a steroidal cream. I find that if we lotion her regularly after her shower, she has fewer breakouts. We use aveeno lotion on her.
I don’t think you’re wasting your time. Sometimes it takes trial and error to find out what really works best for you. If you have good insurance ask your Dr. about a drug called Enbrel. The downfalls are it’s very expensive and it’s an injection, but some people find it very successful.
Try a good dietary supplement. If your eczema is nutrition related, supplements will help.
