weird rash?
Nike asked:
4 or so months ago, I noticed a red blotch on my neck. It was rough, but I though it would go away. Since then, it has mostly disappeared, returned in a ring-worm-like shape, disappeared for a little bit and came back, but this time with another, smaller red patch. My aunt has many skin problems and she said that my rash looked like one that she gets on her hands. She gave me some Elidel and steroid cream to put on it. They worked to clear it up very quickly, but after I stopped using them, it came back. I put more on and did that for a few weeks and stopped because it had been gone a while. I think it has started to come back, as a rough patch, bigger than it was before.
Does anyone know what this is?
Thank you for your help.

Not totally sure, but it sounds a little like eczema. My youngest son has it. I just put OTC hydrocortisone cream on it twice a day, and it helps. Extreme heat/cold makes it worse. There’s also a good moisturizing soap you can use on your face–it’s really gentle, I put it on the baby’s face. It’s called Cetaphil and you can get it just about anywhere.
A rash like that can be caused by a variety of things. Are you in any new environments? Have you been using any new haircare or skin products?
