Cut won’t heal?

person. asked:

I have had cuts on the backs of my ears for about a year. Ive been to the doctor twice. This all started when the skin dried out and got infected. They heal up (Kinda) and then in my sleep, I toss and turn and they rip open again. (I have proof, there are blood spots on my pillows.) The doctor gave me “elidel” which is some kind of white cream. I put it on twice a day and keep the area as clean as possible. (It oozes clear sticky liquid badly.) The cuts are deep red. How can I get them to heal? PLEASE help! I don’t want the infection to spread. Also, I have been extremely fatigued during the last six months, when the infection seemed to really get bad. Is it just normal teenage stuff, or does it have to do with the infection?

Consult another doctor, you need blood work and a culture of those sores to see what is going on in your body.

Well, my little brother uses elidel, but for exima. It works great for that, but I do not know about cuts….

Maybe when you are sleeping, you could put Neosporin on bandages and put them on your ears. I was thinking cover your cuts with Neosporin and then cover your ears in gauze, but you might want to be able to hear your surroundings…. Hope I can help.

Another thing, it may be good if you go in for another doctor’s appointment and let them know about your fatigue and about the sticky liquid oozing out. They may prescribe different cream(s) that help better or suggest other methods. Hope I helped you out!

You may have a fungal infection there.
If it smells cheesy then you have!
Try applying Canesten cream or Daktarin cream after your shower or wash.
Always make sure you dry behind your ears well.
