My 4 yr old has a really bad case of Eczema..her legs are really dry and cracked and her arms, back and sometimes face gets really dry but not half as bad as her legs…her legs gets so bad that they bleed at times..i’ve tried:

Eucerin..Elidel..Mary Kay~night cream..Benadryl cream..Cortozone10..Bacitracin..Equate cream..Kara vita(lotion)..Suave cream..some Avon Creams..Aquaphor..Psoriasis cream..Hydrocortisone cream..Aveeno cream..Aveeno bath care..baby lotion and oil..

the dermetoligist specialist said no more lotions cause when i apply them they break her out in a bad rash, the last thing he prescribed was desoximetasone ointment(but it’s a strong steriod) and i can’t use it to much he said..so any suggestions on any other creams i could try…i will run them by the specialist b4 i use them though..would be greatly appreciated…THANKS
i really wanna try to find something cause there’s nights that she’s up till 4-5a.m. crying, itching and scratching..

    ammonium lactate also known as lac-hydrin…..it prescription….

    I have it and use something called “protopic” your doctor I’m sure knows of it and can fill you in on the details. I think it works great.

    I use hydrocortisone cream 1% for my eczema. It takes a few days to start to help but it helps alot. the one I like is called corticool. It is a clear gel so you can apply it on the hands and face. It is very soothing and cool. I also like benadryl cream but you cannot use it on large parts of the body.
