Is there anything that can be done about dermatitis on the face?
niceguy asked:
I have used elidel and sulfacite lotion and hydrocortisone creams and they work but not that great. I notice that when I take steroides for my allergies my face clears up completly then after I go off of them it comes right back. Also if I dont use soaps on my face it seems to get better but my face gets oily.

Did you wean yourself off of the steroids or did you just stop cold turkey? I know with steroids you should wean yourself off of them. I would see a dermatologist. They can prescribe a higher dose of hydrocortisone. (2.5) It’s usually mixed with aquaphor. Just don’t let anything touch your face and used fragrance free/hypoallergenic face washes. Keeping your face moisturized is a big one though. And switch your pillowcase every other day if you can. Use a “free and clear” detergent such as ALL. They also sell soap free cleansers for your face. Check out dermadoctor.com. They have a lot of great products on there.
