eczema, psoriasis, or something else?
Tommy Boy asked:
This all started a couple years ago and it is rather annoying and I want to know what is or know if anyone else has this problem.
So here are the problems. I’ve slowly developed dry, flaky, itchy skin on various places of my body. It started with my eye lids, then went to the inside of my ears, and now there is a spot along the hairline of my scalp.
The dermatologist said it was eczema and gave me Elidel and Kenalog cream to treat the skin with, it works for awhile but then comes back. My ears are probably worst.
In addition, to that I’ve also developed spots in the middle of my right hand which are raised, red, and very itchy.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be or have they had something similar. I’d really like to know what causes this because I’d like to think I eat pretty healthy and I’m not really stressed out. Not to mention my family is also healthy. Again any help would be great. Thanks!

I get eczema on my hands and feet… it can be triggered by nicotine, excessive coffee and emotional stress… but in most cases those who have it have a chronic condition that will reoccur. Try a mixture of Tea Tree Oil (as a natural supplement) and also use a steroid cream (Cortisine (sp?)… good luck
Sounds like eczema, which the cream will clear up, but it does come back, just keep using cream when it starts to
It is hard to argue with a dermatologist when he has actually seen the problem. I think you have to go with his diagnosis or get a second opinion. This also sounds pretty typical for seborrheic dermatitis which also can involve the eyelids. Psoriasis generally does not involve the eyes but otherwise is a possibility. All these however should respond to varying degrees to steroids as your rash has. These also are all rather chronic problems that generally will not be cured but can be suppressed. I don’t believe they are significantly related in any way to your general health, nutrition or stress level.
The source below has information on these skin conditions.
I suggest that you try herbal anti-eczema cream from It works best for my condition which is similar to yours.
Best,

This has worked brillantly for us - so worth a try.
Try taking probiotics (friendly bacteria) your health food shop will provide it. Get the refrigerated variety. Start with one capsule a day and then up to the maximum after a week or 2.
Best one we have found so far is Primadophilus Reuteri or Bifidus.
Your eczema may be a result of a leaky gut. My son’s skin is like new and you wouldnt know he has eczema
